    It always feels good to give back. It’s also great fun to proudly wear a Cincinnati Bengal’s football jersey and support our local team. Following the efforts of a recent campaign led by a Bengal’s football player, United Performance Metals was able to accomplish both. Leah Still, the 4-year-old daughter of Cincinnati Bengal’s defensive tackle, Devon Still, is fighting her own battle against a stage four cancer diagnosis.     United Performance Metals was pleased to host the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Manufacturer’s Roundtable at their Symmes Road facility on September 29. Guests met with Tom Kennard, President, Annette Tiesman, General Manager, and Scott Fasse, Vice President of Marketing to learn about United Performance Metals and the successes and challenges the company has experienced.     Each year United Performance Metals awards scholarships to bright, young students as they embark upon their college career. This year, scholarships were awarded to Jake Binegar, Brittany Rose Callahan, Alit Ponkaew, and Chris Ivers.     UPM is proud to support our troops. One UPM family member is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Pictured below is Dana Green and her children Ruby and Tucker. Dana's mother is Dawn Clark, Senior Account Manager for United Performance Metals. Dana's husband John and his squadron are currently stationed in Afghanistan. They will soon be the recipients of a variety of items collected by UPM employees. We hope it will make their time away from home a little brighter.

    Anessa Puskar is spending the summer working as an intern at Vulcanium in Chicago. Anessa worked hard in high school, was a part of the National Honors Society, and took some very challenging AP courses. She finished with an outstanding GPA above a 4.0. In her free time, Anessa enjoys skiing. She is a competitive alpine downhill racer and competes in both USSA & Wijara competitions, and has placed first, second, and third many times.     Coy Pemberton, son of Lee Ann Pemberton, Accounts Payable for UPM, always had an interest in joining the military. His passion for service coupled with his desire to further his education has brought him to a personal goal he never would have imagined, the pursuit of his Psychological Doctorate degree. Coy completed Basic Training in 1999, and fifteen years later, maintains the position of Reserve Drill Sergeant.
