6061-T651 Aluminum Plate - AMS 4027

6061 Aluminum plate (also known as 6061-T651) is one of the most versatile grades of heat treatable aluminum alloys. The T6 temper is achieved through a solution heat treatment and artificial aging to achieve a maximum level of precipitation hardening, and it resists stress cracking due to the inclusion of magnesium and silicon as alloying elements. With an excellent strength to weight ratio, good toughness, and high corrosion resistance, it’s no wonder that 6061 aluminum alloys are so widely used.

Applications for our 6061 plate products include aluminum flooring, ramps, base plates, stairs, structural applications and more. It exhibits excellent machinability and is very suitable for welding applications. T651 tooling plate (AMS 4027) is an ideal product for many general purpose applications.
