Spotlight on Graduating Seniors

Today’s spotlight shines on Tyler Liesch, son of UPM’s Chief Financial Officer, Jeffrey Liesch.  Tyler enjoyed a well-rounded experience during his four years at Kings High School.  Most notably, he graduated summa cum laude and with a GPA of 3.95.  Well done!  Following the footsteps of his sister, mother, and two aunts and an uncle, Tyler has chosen to continue his education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Becoming a Miami Redhawk fan should be an easy transition from that of a Kings Knight, where Tyler participated in athletics every year, earning varsity letters in golf and baseball.  He also organized and played on two basketball teams each winter.  Tyler managed to balance his academic and athletic interests with volunteer opportunities like building homes for Habitat for Humanity and participating in the youth group for his church.

Tyler earned an academic scholarship from UPM and is looking forward to classes at Miami University in the fall.  Architecture has been a beckoning interest for Tyler, but so has the Air Force.  Tyler would love to become a pilot and has joined the AFROTC at Miami University to pursue this dream.  Although the future will offer a variety of choices for this young man, we anticipate nothing but the best of outcomes as he faces the challenges ahead.
