United Performance Metals’ Coil Product Planner, Derek Garrett, has achieved the designation of becoming Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Earning his CPIM has entitled Mr. Garrett to increase his functional knowledge of production and inventory management by passing exams in the following areas:
Basics of Supply Chain Management
Master Planning of Resources
Detailed Scheduling and Planning
Execution and Control of Operations
Strategic Management of Resources
Mr. Garrett earned his certification through the Association for Operations Management, APICS, a global leader in and the premier source of the body of knowledge in supply chain and operations management, including production, inventory, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.
