CHRG Metals, Formerly a Division of O’Neal Steel, Transitions to United Performance Metals

On October 1st, 2013, CHRG Metals officially became a division of United Performance Metals.  CHRG had previously operated as a division of O’Neal Steel.  CHRG Metals, O’Neal Steel, and United Performance Metals are all affiliates of O’Neal Industries.

CHRG Metals is a supplier of corrosion and heat resistant stainless and nickel alloy sheet and plate.  FIRSTCUT+® Services include hi-definition plasma cutting, shearing, laser/water jet cutting, sawing, forming and other processes.

The transition places both companies in a position to bring their customers additional products and services.  United Performance Metals President, Tom Kennard commented, “The products offered by United Performance Metals and CHRG Metals represent a perfect complement to one another.  The integration of both company’s products and processing increases the value we’re capable of delivering to all of the customers and markets we serve.”

As a result of the transition, United Performance Metals gains a physical presence in Texas in addition to its Ohio and California locations.  The company is now capable of offering Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloys, Cobalt Alloys, and other high temperature or corrosion resistant alloys in thicknesses from very light (precision) to very heavy (plate) that can be processed in-house to fulfill a customer’s exact specifications.
