Foodshare, a Connecticut organization working to end hunger, launched it’s annual “Turkey + 30” campaign this month. The donation and fundraising drive provides families in need with a Thanksgiving dinner. Local residents, organizations and businesses are asked to donate frozen turkeys and $30 or more to provide a holiday meal plus additional assistance for thousands of residents in the Greater Hartford area. United Performance Metals’ South Windsor, Connecticut office joyfully participated in the event. A donation was brought to the WFSB television station Wednesday morning. Foodshare has a goal of collecting 15,334 turkeys before Thanksgiving this year.
