Spotlight on Graduating Seniors

We’re sharing a bit of insight on our most recent graduate, Madi Kennard.   Pictured here with her  family, you can practically feel the pride glowing from their smiling faces - especially from her father, UPM’s President, Tom Kennard.  Madi attended Ursuline Academy, and she strived to become the embodiment of their mission by nurturing her soul, intellect, heart and imagination.

As president of Unified for UNIFAT, Madi organized fund-raising efforts to support  the education of children in northern Uganda.  The money raised provided salaries for teachers and mentors, tuition for students, and materials for building construction; supporting both the educational and economic needs of this destitute community. Madi dedicated a great deal of time throughout the year to Ursuline athletics.  She participated in basketball and was honored in the Girls’ Greater Cincinnati League for her efforts in both soccer and track. Madi’s  favorite pastime other than sports is drawing.  In fact, her artwork was recently honored with a Silver Key from The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

This summer, we are lucky enough to have Madi join our team as an intern for UPM.  She also works as a lifeguard for Normandy Swim and Tennis Club in Loveland.  In the fall, Madi will be heading to Elon University and studying biochemistry.  All of us at UPM congratulate Madi on her achievements and we wish her the best of luck in school this fall.
