Maintain, Don’t Gain 7 Week Challenge

 

 

One New Year’s resolution tends to be the same for many of us – Lose Weight! UPM employees decided to get a jump start on this idea by taking part in the ‘Maintain, Don’t Gain’ challenge. This 7 week program presented by TriHealth focuses on exercise, healthy eating and stress management. Participants try to get 30 minutes of physical activity 3 times each week while incorporating the following nutrition and stress reduction challenges:

 

• Five-a-day Fruits and Veggies
• Plan Ahead to Avoid Stress
• Consume 25-35 Grams of Fiber Daily
• Simplify Holiday Plans
• Drink at least 64 Oz. Ounces of Water Per Day
• Laugh!
• Eat Less Than 20 Grams of Saturated Fat Daily

 

Following this program is one way to ring in the New Year with one less resolution.
