H. Wayne Ferguson Named 2005 Small Business Person of the Year for Hamilton, Ohio

 

Hamilton, OH - June 28th, 2005. The Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and its Small Business Council recently selected Ferguson Metal's president and founder, Wayne Ferguson, as the 2005 Small Business Person of the Year. Recipients of the award are selected based upon their contribution to the community and role in making Hamilton, Ohio a great place to live and work. “As a member of Hamilton's business community and a strong believer in the potential of this area, I am honored to receive this award”, commented Ferguson.

Ferguson's Hamilton based company employs seventy-seven employees with over 46% being residents of Butler County. Ferguson's interest in community development also includes a seat on the advisory board at Butler Technology Career and Development Schools, sponsorship of community events and enrollment of senior management in Leadership Hamilton - a program that helps local business leaders become familiar with local government.

Jenea Norris Allen, Executive Director of the Certified Development Company of Butler County and chair of the selection committee commented, “It has been my pleasure to watch Ferguson Metals grow and flourish in Hamilton, Ohio.
