Hunting with Family Has Its Rewards

UPM’s Plant Manager, Roger Haire, continues to enjoy hunting throughout the year. His nephew Tyler accompanied him on a recent trip to Brooksville, Kentucky in Bracken County. In late April, the two huntsmen were in pursuit of turkeys. Although the two have hunted together before, this was Tyler’s first ever turkey harvest with his Uncle Roger. Roger is very supportive of his nephew’s interest and of his success.

“Tyler was excited to say the least, and it was awesome for me to be a part of it!”

Not more than a week later, Roger and his friend Gary tracked down turkey in Rising Sun, Indiana in Ohio County. Both men were successful harvesting nice Toms estimated to be around three years old and over 21 pounds. Roger’s next expedition will be coming up in November when he heads off to Montana to chase after mule deer. We’ll keep you posted on his success!
