Inconel Alloy® 617 is a solid-solution, strengthened, nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy.  The high nickel and chromium contents of 617 provide an enhanced resistance to oxidation give the alloy high temperature strength, good weldability and formability.  The cobalt and molybdenum content aid in the solid-solution strength of the alloy.  Aluminum content lends itself to high temperature oxidation resistance.
