H. Wayne Ferguson Retires from United Performance Metals

Hamilton, Ohio - October 21st, 2008-- United Performance Metals, based in Hamilton, OH, announces the retirement of H. Wayne Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson is retiring after 26 years of leadership as Founder and President of Ferguson Metals, which merged with Aerospace International earlier this year to form United Performance Metals.

Wayne Ferguson is originally from Baltimore, MD, and graduated from Essex College in 1966. He earned his degree while employed at Eastern Stainless, where he held a variety of positions including nickel and cobalt alloy salesman. After joining Advanced Alloys, Wayne continued moving up the ranks in sales, and in 1971 he relocated to Cincinnati, OH to establish a Midwest sales office for the company.

In 1982, Mr. Ferguson started his own company, Aerospace Alloys, which later was re-named Ferguson Metals. He began with a few employees and no inventory, but a strong desire to always put customers first. This philosophy, in addition to a sincere respect and concern for all employees, continue to be key components of United Performance Metals' mission, vision, and values.

Mr. Ferguson feels strongly about education and giving back to the community. He is looking forward to pursuing his interests in world travel and enjoying his retirement home on the Gulf Coast of Florida. United Performance Metals is grateful for Wayne Ferguson's vision and hopes to build on the foundation he worked hard to establish.
