Ferguson Announces Consolidation

Hamilton, OH - November 4th, 2005. Ferguson Metals recently announced that its Connecticut operation will be consolidated with corporate operations in Hamilton, Ohio early in 2006. Company president, Wayne Ferguson, commented, "This move is about increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our entire operation."

Ferguson's consolidation plan calls for the transition of Connecticut's sales and administrative positions to its Hamilton, Ohio headquarters. Ferguson will, however, maintain an outside sales presence in the geography to support and grow the company's customer base in the eastern United States.

"While it is our belief that centralizing national and international sales efforts under a single roof will provide a stronger path for continued growth, we also believe that moving administration and day-to-day account management closer to inventory and production resources will assist in our efforts towards continuous improvements in quality and delivery," commented Ferguson.
