Spotlight On Graduating Seniors

As summer quickly approaches, many of us are drawn to the call of graduation parties. High School Seniors are saying good-bye to their Alma matter and setting sights on their future. One such young lady is Katie Clark, daughter of Dawn Clark, Senior Account Manager for the Coil Segment here at United Performance Metals.

Katie led an active life at Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio. As a varsity cheerleader her Sophomore, Junior and Senior years at Talawanda, Katie rooted on the Braves while consistently maintaining high honors throughout her high school years. In the summer, Katie participated in FFA, raising and grooming livestock for the local fair, specifically sheep and pigs for show and sale.

Katie’s graduation date was June 8th. We are honored to have Katie spending time with us at UPM as a summer intern in our marketing department. She also works at the Oxford Copy Shop.

What lies ahead for Katie’s future? She will be attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in the fall. Katie plans to major in business. Her mother, Dawn, knows Katie is looking forward to the responsibility of living on her own and meeting new people once college begins.

What does Katie think? “Because my school is close to home, I am glad I will be able to maintain some of my current friendships. I am also really looking forward to learning about future careers in business.” Congratulations Katie and best of luck next fall!
